Gonchie pull

Definition:
A children's prank: To pull someone's underwear out of their pants from behind (known as a "wedgie") causing their underwear to ride up between the buttocks, and then hang them by their exposed underwear so their feet don't touch the ground (eg. from a doornob).

Usage:
"Let's give Mike Lowther a gonchie pull!"

Explanation:
The first part of the act, that of pulling the underwear out causing it ride up uncomfortably between the buttocks, is called a snuggie or a wedgie. The hanging on a hook is what made it a gonch pull

Trivia:
Known to have been used in the 1970s in Alberta and Manitoba, Canada. Possibly derived from "Ganch," which means to impale someone upon a hook and leave them there to hang until they die.
I disagree with this conclusion because growing up, we used the term "Undergotchie" to mean underwear. The "gonchie" used here sounds similar to the "gotchie" term that I learned as a kid, and it clearly refers to underwear. Thus, I doubt that the verb "Ganch" had anything to do with the term arising.
