what is the "C" hand gesture

Often places designed to hold such groups such as a stadium or amphitheatre are built with each successive row higher than the one in front of it, like the Coliseum in Rome. The last rows, way up high, are referred to by another axiom as the "nose bleed section," as if the altitude were so high up one might suffer such a symptom. Aim for the cheap seats" comes from the context to baseball. To bat to the cheap seats is to hit the ball a long way.
