1. A wooden implement having a stout straight-edged strip of rubber or leather inserted in its blade, used for removing water from wet decks or floors, window panes, etc.
2. Phot. A smaller similar implement, made in the same way or in the form of a roller, used for pressing a film closer to its mount, or for squeezing the moisture from a print.
