3. One of the long, bristly hairs on the sides of the mouth of some animals, as the cat, or a similar formation of bristles, as about the mouth of a bird; a vibrissa.
4. One who or that which whisks; formerly, a switch.
5. One of two small projecting spars or booms on the side of a bowsprit, to extend the jib or flying-jib guys: also whisker boom.
