1. Engin. One of two long structural members, as a truss, beam, or slab, lying across a support, with the two projecting arms in balance, as in a cantilever bridge.
2. Archit. A heavy bracket supporting a balcony, or the like.
3. Aeron. A form of airfoil without external bracing.
