The Communist Information Bureau, established in September, 1947, for the purpose of coordinating the policies and activities of the various national Communist parties. The original nine members were the Communist parties of Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Italy, France, Rumania, and the U.S.S.R.: dissolved in April, 1956.
