Definition of: lymph

(limf) noun
1. A transparent, colorless, alkaline fluid which circulates in the lymph vessels of vertebrates. It consists of a plasma resembling that of the blood and of corpuscles like the white blood corpuscles.
2. The coagulable exudation from the blood vessels in inflammation.
3. The virus, or a culture of the virus, of a disease, used in vaccination or similar treatment.
