Definition of: mental deficiency

Psychiatry
Lack of one or more mental capacities and functions present in the normal individual, usually to the point of disqualifying from full participation in ordinary life; feeble–mindedness. The principal types, in order of increasing deficiency, are moronism, imbecility, and idiotism.
