(wān′skət, -skot) noun
1. A facing for inner walls, usually of wood, but sometimes of marble or other material: usually paneled and of elaborate workmanship.
2. Brit. A superior quality of imported oak used for paneling; also, a piece of such wood.
3. The lower part of an inner wall, when finished with material different from the rest of the wall.
