1. One of a class of heavily armed battleships formerly used in the British navy, typified by the Dreadnought, of 17,900 tons and carrying an armament of 10 12–inch guns and 24 quick–firing guns.
2. Any battleship of great size carrying large–caliber guns.
3. A heavy cloth or a garment made of it.
