An oily, colorless to light–amber liquid, C2H2Cl3 As, having a faint odor of geraniums. Used in chemical warfare it combines the vesicant effects of mustard gas with the toxic action of arsenic. Also called chlorvinylchlorarsine. [after W. L. Lewis, 1878–1943, U.S. chemist]
