(med′lē) noun
1. A mingled and confused mass of ingredients, usually incongruous; a heterogeneous group; jumble.
2. A composition of different songs or parts of songs arranged to run as a continuous whole.
3. A cloth woven from yarn of mingled colors: properly including blue and black.
4. In sports, a relay race in which all legs are not the same, as in distance or in swimming stroke used.
