(mist) noun
1. An aggregation of fine drops of water in the atmosphere at or near the earth's surface, floating or falling very slowly: used either synonymously with fog or distinguished from it, as being less dense, or as consisting of drops large enough to fall perceptibly but slowly.
2. Meteorol. A very thin fog in which the horizontal visibility is greater than 1,100 yards.
3. Water vapor condensed on and dimming a surface.
4. Any colloidal suspension of a liquid in a gas.
5. Anything that dims or darkens; that which obscures physical or mental vision.
