Definition of: Urim

(yr′im) noun plural
1. Objects mentioned in the Old Testament (Ex. xxviii 30, etc.) in connection with the breastplate of the high priest: generally in the phrase Urim and Thummim, supposed to have been precious stones used in casting lots, one signifying an affirmative and the other a negative answer.
